AXA, proud sponsor of the 4th edition of the Africa CEO Forum

The foremost meeting of Africa’s economic and strategic decision makers, the Africa CEO Forum is held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on March 21 and 22. AXA is a major sponsor of the event, and reaffirms its positioning in this high-growth region.

The Africa CEO Forum is one of the most important events in the African business calendar, bringing together the most influential figureheads in Africa, including Sem Alassane Ouattara President of the Ivory Coast, and the CEOs of the continent’s largest companies.

The forum is taking place on March 21 & 22, 2016 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and is organized by Groupe Jeune Afrique, a leading multimedia company that has strengthened its position as the number one press and communication group specialized in the African continent.

AXA runs operations in eight African countries: Algeria, Cameroon, Egypt, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Nigeria, and Senegal. In 2015, AXA generated more than €676 million in revenue from the African operations. As a key growth market, Africa is crucial for the Group and has strong potential to continue to grow. Moreover, AXA is a long-term investor in Africa and seeks to support the continent's economic development.

Jad Ariss

CEO of AXA Middle East and Africa

The CEO Forum constitutes for us an opportunity to strengthen and extend our ecosystem on the continent; not only in markets where we are present today, but also in new markets. Together with all organizers and participants, we hope to contribute to making this 4th edition of the Africa CEO Forum a success for the whole continent.

The AXA Group looks beyond pure business interests and aims at contributing to the continent’s development along three strategic axes:

  • Partnering with African and global institutions
  • Designing products to meet local needs (micro-insurance…)
  • Investing in the future (infrastructure and services)

The event is also an opportunity for the Group to follow up on the recruitment of African talent which are potential positive contributors both locally and worldwide. For AXA, drawing from this pool of talent is an important step toward strengthening the Group's existing commitments in Africa.

AXA’s mission is to help people live their lives with more peace of mind by protecting them, their family, and their property against risks. As a company whose purpose is to protect people, it has a responsibility to leverage its skills, resources, and expertise to build a stronger and safer society.
