Environment and Resilience Research
Our role
Our role is to identify structural trends related to the energy transition and the climate/nature nexus, to tackle the increasing impact of global warming and accompany AXA and its clients in their journey.
Accelerating climate-related woes, increasingly intertwined risks including far-reaching geopolitical changes and a more fragmentated world require to revisit a lot of models, to respond to the evolving environment and better anticipate risks but also opportunities.
What it means
It means identifying the decarbonisation paths ahead, adjusting to clients and economic sectors, integrating technological challenges, infrastructure needs and the social acceptability of mitigation and adaptation: environmental protection cannot be separated from decent conditions for all, workers, local communities and people.
It means spotting innovation trends, be them technological, digital, social or financial.
Our partners
We want our research to be immediately relevant to our clients and investee companies in their transition. This is only possible through a dialogue and partnership.
A partnership with clients, that provides views from the ground up and that assesses most material risks to enable work on remediation and prevention. It involves raising awareness, sharing knowledge, building on science and collaborating with Academia and technical experts, including with public bodies.
As importantly, a partnership and collaboration with various teams within AXA, that leverages on the different expertise and know-how..
