SRI ratings and ethical indexes
AXA's extra-financial performance is rated by a number of specialists on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) topics, including investors, brokers and rating agencies as well as specialist organizations focused on single sustainability themes.
AXA’s main extra‑financial ratings are listed below (not all ratings are updated annually).
S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)
The S&P Group Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) enables companies to benchmark their performance on a wide range of industry-specific, environmental and social criteria and gain independent insight into their sustainability performance relative to peer companies. This questionnaire is the ‘research backbone’ behind the construction of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI). Top CSA performers are eligible for inclusion in the world’s most renowned sustainability indices, the Dow Jones Best‑in‑Class Indices.
AXA received a score of 87/100 (alongside percentile ranking: 98th) for the S&P Global 2024 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (score date: 21 October 2024).
MSCI
MSCI is an independent provider of research and data for institutional investors. MSCI’s research analysts assess thousands of data points across 35 ESG issues, focusing on both risks and opportunities.

Moody’s Analytics
Formerly known as Vigeo Eiris, Moody’s Analytics is an extra-financial rating agency. Its methodology leverages a number of sustainability criteria based on international standards. AXA is included in indices that use Moody’s Analytics data, including Euronext Indices.

Morningstar Sustainalytics
Morningstar Sustainalytics is an extra-financial rating agency covering more than 16,000 companies. The agency focuses on corporate governance, material ESG issues, and controversies.
Latest result: AXA received an ESG Risk Rating: 16.3 – Low Risk at the publication of the 2024 Annual Report (March 2025). Please refer to Sustainalytics’ website*.
FTSE Russell
FTSE Russell is a provider of benchmarks, analytics, and data solutions across asset classes. Each year FTSE Russell rates over 4,000 companies, measuring their exposure to and management of ESG issues.

CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project)
CDP works with companies and governments to disclose their environmental impacts through its annual questionnaire, thus helping investors, policymakers, and other stakeholders make informed decisions considering challenges related to climate change, deforestation, and sustainable water management.
Latest result: AXA received a score of B in the assessment of 2023*.
EcoVadis
EcoVadis is a sustainability assessment platform that analyzes over 150,000 companies across more than 185 countries and 250 sectors. It assigns scores based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria to help businesses manage notably supply chain risks.
Latest result: AXA received a score of 73/100 (EcoVadis Gold Medal) (alongside percentile ranking: 96th) in the assessment of 2023*.
