In 1991, our founder Claude Bébéar launched AXA’s volunteering program: AXA’s Hearts in Action. And ever since, it has been extended to all employees from all corners of the world.

AXA’s Hearts in Action program is a fundamental element of our culture, where values such as courage and integrity shine. Employees share their knowledge and skills, collaborate to build a better future, and actively support communities in need. It is a true amalgamation of hands-on volunteering and financial or in-kind donations.

In line with our sustainability strategy, our volunteering efforts focus on two main areas:

  • Climate change and biodiversity, where we work to protect the environment, reduce the risk of disasters, and preserve ecosystems
  • Inclusive protection, where we work to protect vulnerable populations by supporting their health, preventing disease, and aiding social inclusion.

Every year, we celebrate AXA Week for Good, where employees across the globe volunteer their time and skills to make a difference.

We offer a range of volunteering options, from individual actions to team events and fundraising. More recently, we have shifted toward skills-based volunteering, making the most of our employees' expertise to increase the positive impact on society and the planet.
