Moody’s raises the rating outlook of AXA SA to positive and affirms the “Aa3” rating

Moody’s Ratings (Moody’s) raised* AXA SA’s rating outlook to positive from stable. The agency also affirmed AXA SA’s Aa3 insurance financial strength rating (IFSR).

The change of outlook to positive reflects the recent improvement in both the level and quality of AXA’s earnings, alongside the strengthening in its capitalization.

* Moody’s also affirmed the IFSRs of AXA’s major European operating entities as well as XL Bermuda Ltd (AXA XL) at Aa3 and raised the outlook to positive from stable.
