AXA is currently organizing its Corporate Responsibility Week, for the fifth year running. From June 8th to 12th, the Group's employees around the world will be joining forces to promote risk education and protection. Last year, 77,000 employees took part in this major event.

With the COP21 event to be held in Paris at the end of this year, 2015 represents a crucial milestone in the fight against global warming. That is why this year's Corporate Responsibility Week will be focusing in particular on climate risks.

For instance, employees will be invited to take part in a Group-wide challenge: "All committed for the environment". The principle is simple: they can take a photo of themselves taking action to protect the environment. The participants are then able to vote for a project with NGO CARE, an AXA partner. This operation will make it possible to help fund projects providing support to communities facing climate risks in Central America, Madagascar or India.

Group Innovation

AXA Group's mission is to protect its customers and society in general over the long term. Corporate Responsibility Week is a concrete parrt of this mission, and offers employees from across the organization an outstanding opportunity to showcase their commitment. This year, we focus on climate risks, as we firmly believe they represent the crucial challenge for the years ahead, for both the Group and the communities we work in.

Here are some examples of activities being organized this year:

In France, AXA has organized several events, including roundtable sessions with experts from AXA, the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and NGO CARE, on the impacts and solutions linked to climate change. Thursday, June 11th will be a special day for employees at AXA France, featuring the launch of AXA Prévention's "Get Moving" initiative, as well as other environmental and community actions taking place.

In Morocco, Group employees will be taking part in efforts to clean up a public park in Casablanca, while others will be giving blood. Volunteer ophthalmologists will also be offering free medical checkups in rural areas, as part of a "health caravan".

At AXA Corporate Solutions, Tuesday will be dedicated to promoting diversity with an "à la carte theater", while Thursday will offer employees various opportunities to get involved in actions to clean up pollution along the banks of the River Seine, and in the Bois de Vincennes forest, in partnership with AXA Hearts In Action (the Group's global volunteer program).

In New York City, AXA employees will partner with Central Park Conservancy to remove invasive weeds at Central Park.

You can follow Corporate Responsibility Week on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram with hashtag #AXACRWeek and on the AXA Group website.
