New partnership to support French Decorative Craftsmanship

French artisan craftsmanship, especially in art and decoration, is a unique heritage that embodies excellence, authenticity, and timeless elegance. AXA and France’s iconic Manufactures nationales - Sèvres and Mobilier national - are proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership (2025 - 2029). As Group’s Lead Partner, AXA will support French craftsmanship through two key initiatives:

• Preserve & Transmit: The AXA Foundation for Human Progress will support the creation of an Apprenticeship Training Center (CFA) for so-called orphaned craft trades, which are threatened with disappearance due to a lack of training pathways. This innovative initiative aims to recreate diploma programs, raise awareness and create job opportunities among young generations, to respond to the needs of craft businesses across French territories.
• Celebrate & Promote: The AXA Foundation for Human Progress supports the Salon des Nouveaux Ensembliers, an annual event dedicated to contemporary creation and French artisans. This traveling international exhibition will also serve as an opportunity to promote French craftsmanship worldwide, and will complement an ambitious furniture program for French embassies, highlighting heritage in dialogue with innovation.
