Extra-Financial Ratings

AXA's extra-financial performance is rated by a number of specialists on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) topics, including investors, brokers and rating agencies as well as specialist organizations focused on single sustainability themes.

AXA’s main extra-financial ratings are listed below (not all ratings are updated annually):

CSA evaluates each year over 13,000 companies using criteria that are both industry-specific and financially material. AXA is included in indices that use CSA data, including the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices.
AXA received a score of 86/100 (alongside percentile ranking: 97th) for the S&P Global 2025 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (score date: February 6th, 2026).

FTSE Russell is a provider of benchmarks, analytics, and data solutions across asset classes. Each year FTSE Russell rates over 4,000 companies, measuring their exposure to and management of ESG issues. 
AXA received a score of 4.3 / 5 in the 2025 FTSE Russell ESG Rating and is included in the FTSE4Good Index Series.

Morningstar Sustainalytics is an extra-financial rating agency covering more than 16,000 companies. The agency focuses on corporate governance, material ESG issues, and controversies*.
As of 2025, AXA received an ESG Risk Rating of 17.0 from Morningstar Sustainalytics and was assessed to be at Low Risk of experiencing material financial impacts from ESG factors.

CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project) works with companies and governments to disclose their environmental impacts through its annual questionnaire, thus helping investors, policymakers, and other stakeholders make informed decisions considering challenges related to climate change, deforestation, and sustainable water management. 
AXA has been awarded a ’B’ rating for climate change, forests and water security based on data disclosed through CDP’s questionnaire. This is out of the nearly 20,000 companies scored in 2025, and the more than 22,100 companies that reported in the same year.

MSCI is an independent provider of research and data for institutional investors. MSCI’s research analysts assess thousands of data points across 35 ESG issues, focusing on both risks and opportunities and measuring companies’ resilience to financially relevant, industry-specific sustainability risks and opportunities**.
In 2025, AXA received a rating of AAA in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment.

EcoVadis is a sustainablity assessment platform that analyzes over 150,000 companies across more than 185 countries and 250 sectors. The assessment includes 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
In our latest rating, as of 2025, we earned a Silver Medal which demonstrates our progress toward sustainability.
