Because effective leadership plays a crucial role in driving business performance and supporting employee growth and well-being, we place a strong emphasis on developing our global population of over 10,000 managers. The AXA Managers Academy is a learning program aiming to equip them with the necessary skills to lead and manage teams, navigate complex challenges, and drive results in the new world of work.

In 2022, we delivered the first learning journey which focused on Managing teams in Smart Working.  Through 2023 and 2024 we have been deep diving on ‘Leading for Growth’ to prepare managers for embracing the cultural transformation of the Group and supporting the needed mindset shift. This includes focusing managers’ purpose and values with those of AXA, empowering teams around a clear vision, supporting team members’ skills development and mobility, as well as managing well-being and resilience.

Mobility

AXA demonstrates a strong commitment to developing its people through internal mobility. In 2023, internal mobility between and within entities was at 8% (stable since 2019). It is AXA’s commitment to further strengthen internal mobility in the coming years.

A strong element of AXA’s appeal as an employer is its global footprint across 51 countries. Mobility policies and processes support individual career aspirations and allow the Group to provide opportunities for development assignments abroad.
