Inclusion and diversity are central to our purpose at AXA. Our goal is to build an organization that reflects the communities we serve - giving our people opportunities to thrive, innovate and better support our global customers.
Our approach is rooted in equal opportunity, respect for differences, and a culture that recognizes performance above all else.
Each year, we measure the overall Gender Pay Gap (Unadjusted) and the Adjusted Pay Gap. We uphold fair treatment and pay, dedicating budgets to closing any unjustified pay gaps when they arise:
Beyond pay equity, we ensure a fair standard of living for all employees
Through our partnership with the Fair Wage Network, and as a certified Living Wage Employer since 2023, we provide all employees worldwide with a wage that supports a decent standard of life.

Through programs like Evolve - our flagship career management initiative - leaders get the tools to grow. Since 2020, Evolve has supported 86 participants out of which 64% are women - a testament to gender diversity in leadership at AXA.
This 12-month program fast-tracks talent into the Global Leadership Network, offering:
With the fourth cohort launching in September 2024, we are doubling down on our mission to develop the next generation of AXA leaders.
And it is working. Women currently make up 41% of the Global Leadership Network – up 1 point from 2023 and 9 points since the GLN launched in 2019. Our Partners Group remains closed to parity with women representing 48% in 2024.
We became signatories to the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles in 2018 because we know a gender-balanced workplace benefits everyone. It is also why we invest in education to address gender stereotypes, bias, and sexual harassment.
Addressing women in the market
A specific initiative, Women in Insurance, has been launched in September 2016 globally to reach to the immense women market segment for insurance, offering value-added solutions, with a strong focus on prevention and well-being.
We seek out diverse talent, whatever their age, and foster a culture where everyone, no matter their age, can grow professionally.
That is why AXA signed the Club Landoy charter, committing to ten actions that strengthen the role of employees over 50. But our mission goes beyond that – we are driving inclusion across all generations by tackling age-related stereotypes and ensuring equal access to opportunities.
Several initiatives are underway, including in:

We focus on raising awareness, promoting equal opportunities, and making sure our workplaces, policies, and tools are accessible to everyone.
As signatories of the Valuable 500 and the ILO Global Business Disability Network, we have been advocating for disability inclusion since 2015. In 2024, we signed the Business Leaders' Pledge on Disability-Inclusive Sustainability Practices to reinforce our commitment.
Our Disability Inclusion Hub is the go-to space for best practices and initiatives across the Group keeping employees informed and inspired, with real-world examples from different entities:
With ready-made resources and proven strategies, the Disability Inclusion Hub helps employees worldwide take action and create a more inclusive workplace.
Our teams come from different racial, ethnic, social, national, and cultural backgrounds. We have forums where people can share their unique perspectives and experiences.
Our future leaders should reflect the world around us. We believe our differences make us stronger and help us connect better with each other, our customers, and the world we all share.
We support all our LGBT+ employees whether they are out or not.
Since 2018, AXA has been a signatory of the UN’s LGBT+ Standards of Conduct, working to end discrimination and drive meaningful change.
