Senior Financial Controller (F/M/X)

The purpose of this position is to manage the monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting and to be responsible to follow up the performance of business units in AXA Group Operations.

Main Missions

Within Finance department Group IT Financial Controlling team is responsible for overseeing Group Operations IT financial planning mainly through forecast preparations & actuals monitoring.

In this context, Group IT Controlling team (around 20 people) is responsible for:

  • running monthly closing & forecast processes
  • running centralized controls to guarantee the accuracy & reliability of financial information
  • delivering regular reporting to Group IT management
  • being the finance business partner of Group IT Chapters & Products

Dimension of the role

To properly conduct its missions the financial controller will directly interact with:

  • Financial controllers based in France & in foreign countries in Europe, Asia & America
  • Operational Group IT managers
  • Group Operations CFO & Finance management team
  • Accounting team
  • Strat Plan & Productivity team

Actual, budget & forecast

  • To run monthly closing for Group IT departments (French legal entities): management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Revenue Recognition
  • To coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • To prepare the tool (ONEPLAN) for budget process and ensure the set up and training of operational
  • To be the finance business partner in the Budget/Forecast preparation with Group IT managers

Performance review and analysis

  • To analyze results of Group IT departments vs Budget/Forecast
  • To perform a cost control analysis and propose options to make savings when possible
  • To prepare the monthly Performance Review for Group IT management (analysis of performance vs past year and budget, forecast…)
  • To prepare various analysis upon request for Group IT and Finance top management

Technical and professional skills

  • Strong financial & controlling background
  • Very comfortable with reporting (Excel, Macro, BI…) and presentations (PowerPoint)
  • Experience on Peoplesoft and/or Anaplan is a plus

Language skills

  • English fluency
  • German fluency

Experience required

 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a financial controller or financial auditor
