In 2012, AXA Technology Services (AXA Tech) launched a Corporate Responsibility initiative called Rescue Telecom (RT), which provides emergency telecommunication services during crisis situations (e.g. hurricanes, floods etc.) when conventional means of communication may be down. This "IT for the Community" project is a collaboration between employees, NGOs such as CARE, and AXA Tech.

RT was deployed in December 2013 to support CARE's humanitarian aid mission after Typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines. It was also deployed early October 2015, when Southern France was hit by a storm which flooded 32 towns and caused important damages. A team of 4 Rescue Telecom volunteers supported the victims of the flooding by providing them with mobile phones, free access to computers and internet via satellite to allow them to stay in touch with their families and take care of their first administrative tasks, such as claims. To prepare future missions, with CARE and other NGOs, the Rescue Telecom concept is being extended outside AXA Tech, to include all AXA entities and their employees.
