As a champion of women’s empowerment, AXA is hosting the 2019 Financial Alliance For Women (FAW) Summit from June 17-19, 2019 at its Paris headquarters. This year’s theme, “Building Resilience Through Inclusion,” showcases solutions for building the economic resilience of women and enabling inclusive growth.
Women are a key driver of today’s global economy and a vital force for positive social change. They “face different risks throughout their lives, and it’s up to us to tailor our offers in a way that enhances and increases their impact and reach”, said Ulrike Decoene, Group Head of Communications, Brand and Corporate Responsibility of AXA. For this reason, AXA is a member of the FAW, a unique international consortium of financial service providers dedicated to supporting women’s empowerment.
The Financial Alliance For Women Annual Summit enables participants to learn from experts, share best practices, and discuss the latest innovations.

The event begins on June 17th with a CEO forum that gathers leaders from across the financial sector. Participants will include CEOs from leading financial corporations, including Access Bank (Africa’s largest bank), RBS, Mastercard and FMO. Also in attendance will be Isabelle Hudon, the Canadian Ambassador to France, Thomas Buberl, CEO of AXA, and Denis Duverne, Chaiman of the Board of Directors of AXA.
