Responsibilities include:
 
  • Serve as an influential intermediary between the lights on support team, other IT teams and business clients.  
  • Oversees the day-to-day efforts of the area’s lights-on team, including assigning and assessing work, coaching, and facilitating standup meetings.
  • Resource management of workload for large team.
  • Responsible for managing, analyzing, improving and reporting all aspects of the lights-on work requested and provided by the data area.
  • Participate in a network of similar representatives from other IT lights-on teams.
  • Play the advocacy role for lights-on activity to ensure results for the business clients in all phases of the solution development lifecycle:  initiation, analysis, development, testing, implementation and post implementation follow up. 
  • As a partner with the business, closely monitor progress to ensure that the emerging solution meets the demands of the user stories or requirements.
  • Work closely with technical leads on the application development teams to refine the solution design, methods and outcomes for lights-on activities. 
  • Work very closely with formal and informal testing teams to proactively ensure quality design and code are rolled out. 
  • Drive insights from data to identify and implement continuous improvement, streamlining of batch processes and automation opportunities.

Qualifications: 
  • 4+ years of IT experience in the software development cycle
  • Broad knowledge in Data Warehouse, MDM, Big Data and reporting platforms
  • Good knowledge in technologies like DataStage, Hadoop, MDM, OBI or Tableau is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal / relationship management skills, able to foster working relationships within the team, across IT and with business colleagues
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and requirement gathering skills
  • Strong knowledge of complex software development concepts and development methods
  • Strong knowledge and application of various software development life-cycles and techniques (e.g., traditional and agile)
  • Strong Knowledge of business and technology practices and trends
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of management
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including use of Excel and Power Point
  • Good vendor relationship skills
  • Positive mindset for process improvement and change
  • Adaptable and flexible
