Investment Accounting is a strategic partner to the Finance teams that provides information to each team so they can make informed decisions. We provide Regulatory Financial reporting for Investments, analysis and decision support to Finance and Business areas, support for new product development and changes to existing products as well as provide accounting services to other AXA entities. Looking for an individual with strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills, creative thinking and sound judgment that takes ownership and follows through on tasks. Flexible and able to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic, faced paced work environment. Self-starters, able to execute with limited direct supervision and a team player. The individual will perform Financial statement analysis on a US GAAP, IFRS and Statutory basis including the process of reviewing and evaluating a company's financial statements (such as the balance sheet or profit and loss statement), thereby gaining an understanding of how the investment results impact the financial health of the company and enabling more effective decision making.

Demonstrated experience in the areas of financial accounting, regulatory reporting, analysis and compliance for US GAAP.  Investment accounting and reporting for a Life Insurance Company is a plus. With the focus on US GAAP there will be a need to provide an investment analysis for US GAAP as well as IFRS. Explanations between USGAAP, IFRS and STAT BS and P&L.

  • Working understanding of Statutory, US GAAP, and IFRS accounting and reporting concepts. Ability to present financial data analysis to management.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to manage large amounts of data or models efficiently to provide meaningful results.
  •  Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. Technically proficient in Microsoft products, reporting and general ledger systems.
  • Participate in preparation and analysis of investment Forecasts and Budget. 
  • Knowledge of Life Insurance concepts and insurance accounting is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
