This exciting role is newly created to build reserve and capital expertise in the Risk Management department. Besides reviewing assumption, reserve and capital within the company, the individual will lead the insurance risk part of the Economic Capital framework and participate in industry-leading (Big Data) projects such as: GLM mortality modeling, Policyholder behavior modeling, Agent behavior modeling, Accelerated Underwriting.
The individual will need strong technical skills and work closely with Finance, BU, IT and Service Centers. The position is highly visible and has access to C-level executives. It is part of a small and dynamic RM team overseeing strategy, distribution, product development, inforce initiative, assumptions, reserve, capital, underwriting, and reinsurance. There are weekly and monthly meetings designed to foster cross-learning and collaboration.
