Play a key role in managing AXA US’ derivatives & hedging portfolio: work closely with  portfolio managers, traders, strategists, and back- and middle-office professionals on all aspects of the derivatives trade lifecycle. Work alongside portfolio managers on a continuous basis to analyze risk and new hedging and trading strategies. Help prepare performance reports and presentations for senior management. Enhance the team’s analytic infrastructure and code base. Work closely with internal business partners—including trading, derivatives operations, product development, actuarial, accounting, legal, tax, and risk-management.

The ideal candidate for this role is knowledgeable in capital markets (in at least interest-rates and/or equities), and has expert-level knowledge in (a) derivatives pricing theory including that related to options and volatility, (b) fixed-income mathematics, and (c) coding in an industrial context (Excel/VBA required, C++ ideal). Formal requirements include (a) at least two years of relevant work experience ideally in a financial and/or quantitative role, and (b) a master’s degree in quantitative finance or financial engineering.
A clear, concise, and concrete communicator is required for this role, with the ability to represent the team and convey its message—both verbally and in writing—to a wide array of audiences.
