Manages, directs and coordinates all aspects of the Regional Sales Associate (RSA) outbound sales desk. Monitors and enhances the quality and effectiveness of RSA efforts in order to deliver exceptional outbound sales and service support to financial professionals nationwide. The objective is to cultivate relationships between ADL and financial professionals (FP) by exceeding the FP’s needs and adding value on every call. The SDM is responsible for maintaining high service levels, cultivating superior performance, supporting the external sales force management team and assisting in all stages of the sales process.
Possess or Obtain Series 6/7, 63 and Life licenses .
Have at least 3 years pension related experience.
A key requirement of this position is to have a core knowledge of the 401(k) market, understanding product structures, selling strategies and a working knowledge of 401(k) rules and regulations. Training is provided to develop and enhance industry and product knowledge in order to effectively communicate and build credibility with financial advisors. The person filling this job should have strong ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Overtime may be necessary during periods of heavy volume, or for time sensitive projects. In addition, this person should:
· Be able to present complex information in a clear manner, both orally and in writing.
· Have a working knowledge with the pension provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA.
· Be able to present the features of the various AXA-Equitable pension products.
· Assist external wholesalers daily with prospecting activities
· Educate Financial Advisor on all aspects of product/market environment
· Be aware of the world of investments and of 401(k) competitors’ offerings.
· Coordinate & participate in pre-sale discussions regarding plan design/product sale/implementation
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
