Investigator acts as a resource using broad knowledge, experience, and accomplishments to assist in the attainment of department/company goals; assists in the prevention, detection, and investigation of fraud; assists in the conduct of annual fraud risk assessment to identify and prioritize the fraud/ abuse risk within the organization; provides support for complex, large, and/or critical investigations; develops plan of action for investigations
Assists business units in recognizing and identifying fraud/ abuse indicators as a part of the normal business process; works with management to develop fraud/ abuse awareness among employees; develops and conducts training for Claims, Underwriting, Customer Service, and other business units as required.Conducts extensive and detailed investigations of suspicious losses and varying complexity and leads in-depth interviews of participants, witnesses or claimants.Work with internal/ external experts to determine accuracy of alleged facts
• College graduate. 5+ years experience in claim or finanical disbursments is a plus.
• Strong desire to gain further understanding of the financial services and life insurance business.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Maintain a positive, problem-solving approach and spirit of cooperation in a team environment.
• Analytical skills, combined with strong business writing ability.
• Reliable; ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards
