  • Educated to university degree level (pref. but not excl.: Engineering, Mathematics, Actuarial or Economics).
  • More than 5 years of experience in Health Underwriting (other lines of business will be a plus).
  • Experience in international projects.
  • Excellent English skills.
  • Strong knowledge concerning IT soft application (Excel, PowerPoint, IT, information system).


Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of operative processes in the insurance industry.

Mission - Job purpose

  • Promote a sound risk management culture and governance throughout the organisation of Health Underwriting and Pricing topics within the scope of the region.
  • Ensure the monitoring and build-up of a regional second line of defence on underwriting topics across the region.



Main Accountabilities & Activities

  • Provide an expert second opinion on large accounts under regional scope and support local teams to provide an opinion on accounts under local authority.
  • Support extended local and regional teams to provide an opinion on new and existing products.
  • Provide quality assurance controls of local second line of defence by giving support in the update, formalisation and implementation of underwriting governance and by testing and challenging underwriting decisions.
  • Participate in the design and deployment of training programs to develop Health underwriting and business skills within the region.
  • Ensure effective relationships between key stakeholders at local, regional and Group level.
