Seeking Advanced Markets Attorney responsible for providing sales support in distribution of group variable annuity and NAV 401(k) products. Responsibilities include travel with national team of wholesalers, present topical presentations to financial professionals, centers of influence, conduct training presentations, act as Q&A resource, attend prospect meetings and finalist presentations upon request. Attend Industry/Advisor Conferences to present advanced markets topics relevant to the qualified retirement plans market. Provide interested parties (wholesalers, financial professionals, internal colleagues, clients) with periodic information on legislative and regulatory developments impacting 401(k) and other tax-qualified retirement plans. Assist with development of new marketing materials, periodic newsletter content and presentations. Review marketing pieces for technical accuracy, recommend changes where necessary. Assist in the development and presentation of training to support the sales process.
Individual must have at least 5-7 years of advanced markets, public speaking, writing, and analytical experience with ERISA-covered tax-qualified retirement plans.
FINRA Series 6, 63, and variable life license required
A Juris Doctorate and membership in good standing of a state bar, with advanced or other professional designations preferred;
Ideal candidate will have: Extensive public speaking experience covering ERISA and qualified retirement plan advanced markets topics for continuing legal, professional education in the retirement services industry; In-depth knowledge of ERISA as well as Internal Revenue Code tax qualification requirements in the resolution of complex qualified retirement plan sales and service issues; Experience with group variable annuity as well as NAV defined contribution plan platforms; A complete and thorough knowledge of the sales process in general, as well as in the qualified retirement plans market; Strong verbal and written communication skills; The ability to interact with all levels of personnel in the organization.
