The Central Relationship Management Unit (CRU) is a customer-centric, centralized team that is responsible for establishing/re-establishing and fostering close, continuous relationships between AXA Equitable and its clients, identifying sales opportunities and executing sales.  This individual will support the three product lines

 

Located in Syracuse, NY, this is an excellent opportunity to 1) become an expert in AXA products , 2) break into or grow in the Financial Services industry and 3) if you don’t already have it, earn securities and multistate insurance licensing.  The position offers a competitive salary with several opportunities to earn additional incentive compensation.

 

As a Sales and Client Relationship Professional within CRU, you will be  responsible for establishing trusting relationships between AXA, our advisors and clients.  You will deliver value by:

 

  • Proactively contacting our clients to ensure quality service, as well as handling inbound calls
  • Providing a single point of contact that aligns all the resources AXA has to offer to address client/prospect needs, including:
  • Being a high quality resource to answer client/prospect questions on their existing products and to validate their decisions
  • Identifying new potential needs in partnership with the client/prospect  
  • Assisting the client/prospect in initiating or completing a sale as appropriate
  • Resolving issues and improving relationships with dissatisfied clients
  • Collaborating with our advisors to deliver on our value proposition to our clients and our field force
     

Additionally, you will be trained in sales tools and techniques required as a financial professional. As a result, you will be able to:

  • Provide financial advice and make product recommendations based upon individual needs, requirements and suitability
  • Execute sales of financial products
  • Identify opportunities and route leads to the AXA Advisors field force, when appropriate

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or related field
  • Financial or financial services acumen, as demonstrated through educational and/or hands-on experience and knowledge
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Highly productive and performance driven
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, Life and Health (funding for licensing provided by the company; includes study program and materials)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional quality and service focus
  • Other qualities critical to the role:  flexible, adaptable and reliable

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior customer relationship management experience with superior customer relationship building skills
  • Knowledge of Annuities and Life Products and/or Investment Products  
  • Previous sales experience preferably in the financial services industry with some focus on insurance
