Individual Contributor: Appraises and underwrites applications for insurance to assess mortality and morbidity risk within company guidelines to assure equitable treatment of policyholders and producers and to meet the company's financial objectives.

Approves, classifies or declines applications on own signature; includes qualifications outlined in the job description.

Provides guidance to the field force and home office staff regarding underwriting philosophy and requirements.

Enhanced field relationship management and problem resolution.

Manager: Recognizes and addresses trends and patterns that positively or negatively impact risk management.

Proficient EKG interpretation skills. Demonstrates leadership ability.


8-10 Years of Related Experience

Passing of LOMA 1 & 2; ALU 1, 2 and 3 and LOMA Selection of Risks and additional 2 LOMA courses.

Required Manager: FALU and/or FLMI or at least LOMA 1-5 along with Selection of Risks and ALU 1 & 2.
