Technical skills:

·         Demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders

·         Experience in establishing IT standards based on industry best practices and implementing them across the enterprise

·         Experienced in driving change across the organizational boundaries

·         Experience in standing up new processes and supporting an environment of continuous improvement

·         Demonstrated experience with business process and performance modeling, benchmarking, and financial analysis

·         Experience building enterprise architecture roadmaps

·         Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards to meet business requirements

·         Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex application solutions

·         Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering


Non-technical skills:

·         Ability to think big and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh and hype

·         Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Strong project management and organization skills

·         Related industry technology certifications

·         Training in a standard architecture methodology a plus (TOGAF,  ITIL)



·         Minimum of 10 years’ experience leading and architecting application solutions.

·         Previous experience in development and roll out of enterprise standards at an IT services organisation




The IS Enterprise Architect is part of the CIO Information System Team. Main responsibilities are:


  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define and build architecture blueprints (current and future state)
  • Build the long-term strategic roadmap for all IT application systems architecture
  • Lead discussions and planning sessions with Application, Infrastructure, Engineering, as well as outside Venders to provide a climate of collaboration and partnership across the IT organization.
  • Reduce complexity and improve time-to-market through application architecture standards; participate in project and design reviews to ensure that standards are communicated and followed
  • Participate in project design reviews and ensure that enterprise standards are being met
  • Seamlessly integrate business and service strategy into enterprise architecture roadmap
  • Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to enterprise application initiatives to review infrastructure platform initiatives such as refresh and upgrade programs.
  • Create enterprise wide current and target state enterprise application architecture blueprint with ensure IT capability and investment alignment to business strategy.
  • Influence stakeholders across the IT community to promote enterprise orientation while balancing short term business needs.
  • Align IT strategy and planning with the company’s business goals and objectives
  • Seamlessly integrate business and service strategy into enterprise architecture roadmap
  • Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions
  • Lead the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projects
  • Develop the methodology wherein he/she would partner with other solution architects to provide a consensus based scalable and adaptable architectural solution
  • Develop the cadence upon which our architectural standards are regularly reviewed and updated
  • Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the company
  • Manage and facilitate a review board to evaluate project proposals for architectural fit
  • Circulate roadmaps to align business partner and IT priorities
