About the department:

The Property & Casualty claims department handles Lifestyle claims like Travel, Personal Accident, Domestic Helper and Home claims, as well as Commercial claims like Property, Liability, WICA and Bond claims.

Settlement of claims within service turnaround time and delivery of efficient, professional customer service in accordance with AXA's service philosophy and standards.

  • Respond to claims enquires / matters from internal and external customers and liaise with the relevant stakeholders to facilitate claims assessment.
  • Approving claims reserves up to SGD10,000/-
  • Ensuring all reported claims are registered timely and adequate reserves provided in accordance with COM
  • Ensuring all payments are processed timely in accordance with COM.
  • Ensuring all incoming claim registration documents & follow ups (Existing Claims) to be accurately indexed for further processing of claims under the correct product class 
  • Supporting, WICA computations, Maid/Foreign Worker bond claims & RI claims and ensuring the claims are processed on time. 
  • Comply to all statutory, regulatory and audit requirements
  • Escalate large claim, dispute claim and technical claim issue to Manager
  • Provide highest level of customer service when managing the assigned claims to achieve best claims experience for the customer.
  • Prompt handling of the tasks rendered when assigned any other ad-hoc projects and/or initiatives.
  • Respond and resolve complaints in order to achieve customer satisfaction with fair outcomes as per SOP.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including pre-UAT preparation activities.
  • Work as a team and provide support to the department when other staff are on leave, on course or on medical leave.
  • A recognized "O" level or Diploma in any discipline, with Insurance qualifications 
  • 2 to 5 years of relevent working experience in the Insurance industry, preferably experienced with handling of claims.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of local legislations
  • Independent and a fast learner, able to grasp processes and system
  • Able to work effectively and independently 
  • Good customer orientation, team player
