Objective of the position 

Administrating Progress platforms within daily operations understanding the applications deployment, execute on new implementations related to the supported techologies. Focused on bring operations stability according to the agreed SLA's, prioritizing business operations across legacy and new technology components. Working inside a standarized and agile operative team supporting Productive and Non Productive environments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the operations and executions at Progress Application and Database platform services.
  • Support implementations of new requirements accross productive and non productive platforms.
  • Execution configuration tasks, managing the right time and effort applied for each requests.
  • Patch and update supported platforms.
  • Support and bring value inside incident crisis scenarios, understanding the overall technology architecture.
  • Applied the best ITIL practices inside the daily operations and area processess. 
  • Operate Productive, Non Productive and Disaster Recovery services for Progress infrastructure.

 

Educational Level:

Bachelor’s degree

Language required:

English – Intermediate

Specific experience and knowledge:

  • 3 years at least of administrating Progress Application server environments.
  • 3 years at least of administrating Progress Database server environments.
  • Progress deep layout knowleadge across legacy and new technology infrastructure: 
     -Progress Application services advanced knowleadge required.
     -Progress Database services advanced knowleadge required.
     -HP UX v 11i administration intermediate knowleadge required.
     -RHEL Linux v. 6-8 administration intermediate knowleadge required.
  •  3 years at least of supporting productive environments within enterprise platforms.
