We have opportunities for several Property Claims Handlers to join us in the Commercial Claims Department based in Bolton, helping our customers and brokers of AXA Insurance in the UK. Our Commercial Claims unit is responsible for managing all claims relating to Commercial Property, Casualty, Motor Engineering and Commercial Motor. As part of the wider Claims function you really will be contributing to the purpose of helping all our customers have better lives. 

At AXA we're adopting a Hybrid way of working, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and customers. Our main Commercial Claims department is based in Bolton however you can be based within an acceptable commutable distance to any Claims office in the UK. (Morecambe, Bolton, Birmingham, Gloucester, Tunbridge Wells, Ipswich, Haverhill). Some travel to Bolton will be expected for team strategy meetings and training however you will mostly be virtually supported by your Team Leader and wider team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Answering calls effectively to deliver an excellent customer service to our customers.
  • Working productively as a team to achieve business goals and objectives. 
  • Accurately inputting customer information into our systems.
  • You ’ll be working with some great people across Claims and with external agencies so your ability to build strong relationships will be key to the success of the unit.
  • Understanding of Insurance Property Claims from either retail or commercial claims with strong expireince up to £100K value/license.
  • Awareness of current UK trends associated with Insurance and the wider market impacts.
  • In addition to handling your own case load of claims up to £100K on all property claims, you will coach and develop your colleagues, so, you’ll have experience in helping people to shape the right curiosity, passion and integrity needed for a collaborative, successful, career.

IDD: This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
