Here at AXA we are currently recruiting for  a claims professional to join our established NI claims team in Riverside Tower in Belfast city centre, on a 12 month FTC.  Are you naturally empathic with strong customer service skills and an ability to negotiate at all levels? Reporting to a Claims Team Leader, you will work as part of an experienced claims team to handle and settle cases in a timely manner whilst delivering an excellent service to our customers.

The Key Responsibilities of the role will include:
• Conduct desk-based incident and case management within predefined authority limits and to predefined processes, procedures and escalation points.
• Contain claim costs by implementing agreed processes and deploying all resources effectively.
• Deal effectively with referrals, escalations and complaints where appropriate.
• Conduct effective Quality Assurance program activities to validate the quality of claims handling to deliver consistent claim estimating, minimising leakage and fraud, and adherence to defined processes.
• Participate in initiatives to deliver continuous improvement and assist in improving the performance of our business.
• Full ownership and accountability of the claims you are involved in managing.
• Deliver agreed targets for customer service, settlement rate and recovery levels.

The experience you will need to have
• At least 6 months experience of working within a customer service or claims handling environment. 
• Be customer orientated and display a willingness to meet and understand customer’s needs.
• Demonstrate excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Methodical and structured approach to work demonstrating good problem-solving skills.
• The ideal candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude be proactive and highly motivated.
• Show a high degree of flexibility when faced with new challenges.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with patience and confidence
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills must be target driven.
• 5 GSCE’s Essential.
• ECDL, Cert in Insurance Desirable
