Job Purpose

To provide Employee Relations services, advice and support to HR colleagues, managers and employees in the region (UK, Asia, US, Italy, Spain, Luxenbourg, Netherlands).  Ensure all ER policies and procedures are up to date in all locations. Participate in HR and ER projects.

 

Key Accountabilities 

Main topics / aim:

Provide advice and support to HR Business Partners on employee relations issues including grievances, disciplinary matters, dismissals, redundancies, and performance and absence management.  Escalate complex cases to Manager and provide support as required.

Provide input into HR policies and processes to support HR/AXA IM/AXA Group initiatives and objectives, comply with regulatory and employment laws, and reflect best practice. Ensure policies and processes are appropriately implemented and updated across the region.

Participate in corporate change projects, restructurings, acquisitions, divestitures, outsourcings, legal simplifications, etc.

Maintain all ER document templates.

Ensure all internal reporting (e.g. for finance, compliance, UK ExCom) and audit-related queries and tasks are managed in a timely and accurate manner.

Identify trends emanating from grievance procedures, disciplinaries and other employee feedback and propose root cause solutions to relevant stakeholders. 

Monitor changes to employment law and practices across the region and ensure they are communicated to relevant stakeholders and integrated into existing policies and practices.

Manage and/or support policies and processes that are required under AXA Group Standards, Data Protection legislation, Health and Safety legislation, and regulatory and employment laws.

Provide support to the wider ER team as required.

Role Requirements

 

Education/Qualifications

Educated to degree level is an asset

HR qualification or equivalent experience

 

Experience

Previous experience in the investment management or financial services sector is an asset, although not necessary

Previous experience developing and implementing ER policies and processes in a regional context

Previous experience in managing change projects, acquisitions, divestitures, etc.

Previous experience dealing with sensitive, confidential employee relations issues.

 

Knowledge and Skills

Good knowledge of UK employment legislation; knowledge of employment legislation principles across rest of region is an asset

Ability to provide advice and/or guidance on ER issues in a clear and concise manner

Microsoft Office skills
