To reinforce our software engineering team, we are looking for a highly motivated software engineer, very aware of trends and groundbreaking startups. Years of experience is not what matters. We will value passion, openness, curiosity, respect, engagement, a “big picture vision” and for sure, someone who loves coding! We don’t intend to “play” with technology, we do really seek for impact. 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a start-up or in a tech-driven company, with an entrepreneur mindset, meaning a wide understanding of technologies coupled with a sense of strategy and business impact. 

We expect you to be autonomous and able to learn. The projects duration spans from 1 week to 6 months. Be ready to switch regularly: new field, new technology, new methodology, … and adapt to the new situation. 




Transform technology performance into business value.  


Among responsibilities: 

  • Perform technology surveys on emerging technology trends. 

  • Develop prototypes to demonstrate new technologies. 

  • Implement selected projects and coordinate with external stakeholders, especially when projects are deployed within the operational perimeter . 

  • Constantly improve the team knowledge with technology watch, white papers, position papers. Grow our stakeholders' knowledge and understanding of emerging trends and technologies. 

  • Submit new projects ideas to the team 

  • Develop a good team spirit and strongly contribute to our reputation 

  • Develop a good network within the AXA community

  • Excited about building software prototypes. 

  • Excited about learning new technologies on short notice. 

  • Expert in at least one of this domains: 

  • Machine Learning, deep learning applied to imaging, NLP 

  • Web development (front and back) 

  • System development and continuous integration 

  • Fluent in at least 1 programming language, NodeJs preferred 

  • Passionate about technology. 

  • Visionary about new technology applications 

  • Nice to have: experience with computer vision, blockchain, bots, drones, robots, IoT, security,  crypto, VR or AR 


Soft skills 

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication. You will do most of your writing in English. Speaking will be English (mandatory) or French.

In general, we are looking for someone with raw smarts who can easily learn the specific skills needed to do his/her job. 




  • Minimum 1 year of experience, internships can also be evaluated  

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degrees in Computer Science or similar 

  • Fluent in English, French is a plus 

  • Nice to have: fluent in German, Spanish, Italian …
