Key Responsibilities

  1. Support formulation and delivery of strategic priorities
  • Actively involved in the strategic planning and revised budget processes with BSID team to ensure business comments are in the right direction, and appropriate business drivers are in place
  • Support the enforcement of target letters for entities
  • Support SDOs in helping entities achievement their business goals, provide food for thoughts or pose challenging questions as needed

 

  1. Support the performance management process
  • Assist with the weekly flash performance results, early recognition of pending issues, problem areas or new opportunities. Update AMO CEO on a weekly basis
  • Participate in Monthly Business Reviews for entities to identify trends and initiate discussions with entities in collaboration with BSID team, provide timely advice and support to AMO and entities
  • Perform research on market statistics and competitive analyses for selected entities as needed

 

 

  1. Manage matters for China
  • For AXA TP:
    • Work closely with BSID, health, risk and GI hub teams on business matters especially when communication is in Chinese
    • Support the CSCO on his role as the Chairman of the AXA TP Board.  This includes preparation of the meeting, review Board materials, and make recommendations to action items
  • For ICBC-AXA:
    • Support the SDO of Greater China to coordinate and review Board materials, form an AXA view on matters that needs shareholder attention.  Ensure timely information and communication to key stakeholders including internal (various function heads, AXA board of directors), and external parties (ICBC-AXA Board office)

 

  1. Actively involved in Group communication processes
    • Involve and contribute to key checkpoints including CEO dialog with Group
    • Prepare financial summaries and commentaries for Investor Relations events

 

  1. Lead, manage and support various assigned projects as needed.

 

  1. Be the go-to contact point for the SDO team within AMO, manage transversal tasks such as
  • Risk assessments
  • Expense allocation and cross charging
  • Partnerships
  • Actuarial hub
  • And others

 

Key Customers

Internal to AXA:

  • SDOs, BSID, distribution, health teams
  • Risk, Legal and Compliance, Audit, Tax
  • Local entities

External to AXA:

  • External consultants
  • Vendors

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Degree in business / finance related discipline (actuarial or accounting or insurance background)
  • 4-6 years relevant services
  • Experience in insurance industry
  • Well-developed understanding of operations and distribution of insurance companies
  • Strong quantitative and accounting/financial skills

 

Skills required:

  • Competent in MS office application
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Mandarin and ability to type Chinese is a must 
  • Strategic mind-set with solid business planning skills
  • Able to attend to details
  • Excellent analytical, data analysis and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and build relationships both internally and externally
  • Highly motivated by new challenges; able to work as a team as well as independently
