AXA UK is proud to be the 24th Best Place to Work, according to Glassdoor, which reflects our people’s trust in us. Interested in becoming one of us? Read on… We’re incredibly excited for you to join our health and wellbeing focused AXA Health membership team as a full-time permanent Customer Service Advisor in our Tunbridge Wells offices.

With our customers in mind, our phone lines are open 8am-8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am-5pm Saturdays and Bank Holidays. We’ll require you to work 37.5 hours a week on a rota basis and you'll know well in advance the shift patterns you will be working each week, so you can plan around your hours.

We genuinely care about people. As customers ourselves, we know the importance of the service we provide to our members and appreciate their loyalty with us.

About the Customer Service Advisor role

Following your fully supported training, which will give you the skills and confidence for your role, you’ll answer calls from people going through various health problems (from physio to cancer treatment) and advising them on their claim. Sometimes you’ll need to decline a customer request too. This will involve using judgement to take responsibility for gathering information and finding out answers, putting your customer’s interests at the heart of every decision you make

We’ll fully support you in your career and commit to the following as standard:

  • Providing a Career Development Framework that is reviewed every six months for two years with your manager, giving you clear career progression
  • Full training and support you need to make a difference, no matter the stage of your career
  • Once you're up to speed in your new job, there's also the chance to study for a professional Chartered Institute of Insurers (CII) qualification - paid for and supported by AXA

The work is very fast-paced and you'll need to be resilient. Working in a supportive and experienced team of around 10-12 colleagues, you’ll take on average 30 calls a day.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate your strong communication skills through talking clearly and listening. You'll have great attention to detail, completing notes about your calls accurately and on time.

The AXA values are: One AXA, Integrity, Customer First, and Courage

Our values are at the forefront of what we do every day. So, whether you are a dedicated Customer Service Professional or looking for your first opportunity, if you share our values, we’d love to see your application.

We wouldn’t be able to achieve anything without the hard work and dedication of our people, which is why we offer a range of rewards and benefits to ensure they know we appreciate everything they do:

  • £18k- £20k annual salary dependant on experience, with regular pay reviews
  • 23 days holiday each year (rising with length of service) – there’s also the flexibility to buy up to 5 additional days or sell up to 3 days
  • An annual bonus, based on performance
  • Private medical insurance (after a qualifying period), generous pension scheme and life insurance
  • Wide range of flexible benefit options
  • Up to 35% discount on AXA products and access to a wide range of retail discounts

With a presence in over 60 countries, and 165,000 employees serving the needs of 107 million customers, AXA is big.

But never too big to care for every single person who works here.  So when you join us, we promise to put our collective might behind you and your career.

You’ll work in an open and supportive environment where you’ll be developed, challenged and encouraged to move around to achieve even bigger and better things – nationally and internationally. You’ll learn directly from senior leaders, from the best in our business. And you’ll enjoy real responsibility, really early on.

Every large company today talks about supporting diversity and inclusion. But at AXA UK, these values form an integral part of everything we do. For us, it’s about bringing together the best talent, helping people to realise their full potential by being 100% themselves at work and delivering outstanding service to everyone – regardless of difference.

AXA Health is the UK healthcare specialist for the AXA Group.

Whatever our customers’ health goals, we help them get there. That could be getting someone physio for an injury that’s holding them back, or finding them the right specialist to take their treatment forward.

Our team are experts in their fields: from experienced cancer nurses to pioneering data analysts; from our highly respected customer service team to our wide-ranging in-house team of clinicians. We all work together to be the best we can be.

To apply, just click the apply link to register and upload a CV or complete your profile via our recruitment system. In order to assess your application for suitability in the role, we will send you a skills-based game via our provider, Arctic Shores. Once you’ve completed this, a dedicated member of our in-house recruitment team will assess your application and results and you’ll receive an outcome of the first round of the process. The second stage will be a virtual interview.

We're recruiting for a start date of Monday 21st June 2021
