We have an exciting 6-month fixed term contract opportunity (with possible option to extend) as a Project Manager/Delivery Lead within the Digital Workplace Transformation programme of our “Smart Working” initiative. In this role you will be required to support the delivery of our workplace refresh by acting as a key interface between the business units and IT:  Notably:

  • Support the Programme Manager in the day-to-day management of actions and plans relating to Digital Workplace
  • Provide central leadership, across our Business Units on the key activities needed to support the implementation into the required teams
  • Ensure alignment of activities across all UK Business Units and work with IT and Business Units to develop sustainable processes and resource solutions to ensure a timely and effective migration process for employees that minimises disruption and provides a good user experience
  • Management of risks, issues and dependencies relating to delivery
  • Assist BU teams in building harmonised plans
  • Ensuring effective engagement with support functions
  • Assist in analysis and resolution of programme challenges, working with appropriate parties to analyse, document and recommend solutions as required

 

Your Key Accountabilities will be:

  • Management of Programme plans – own and deliver specific activities & actions to support the delivery of Digital Transformation, working with the wider IT & business teams to ensure plans are clear on outcomes, resources, tasks and owners.  This may involve the definition of specific solutions in collaboration with various business in IT teams
  • Action Management – develop and maintain personal action logs to ensure clear outcomes , owners and tasks are completed in line with programme needs
  • Progress Control & Reporting  – develop programme reports to appropriate standards required on quality and clarity.
  • Risk & Issue, Assumption & Dependency Management – Manage a register of risks and issues, assumptions and dependencies within personal delivery scope
  • Quality Management – ensure governance process is adhered to within the programme in line with AXA quality standards. 
  • Documentation  - ensure programme artefacts are developed to provide clear and concise explanations and recommendations as required on options, supported by demonstrable evidence.
  • Relationship Management – Build effective partnership relationships with Project delivery team within UK and wider business units, with a strong customer focus, and demonstrate an ongoing, practical understanding of the needs of customers.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a commercial environment specifically in a Project Management  /Delivery lead capacity.  Preferably in an IT role supporting business teams in organisational transformation and/or delivery of new technology solutions
  • Have experience of working in large, federated organisations, operating ‘matrix management’ and agile delivery principles
  • Experience in technical transformation, large scale workplace refresh programme with complex logistics and multi-vendor solutions
  • Be an excellent communicator; both orally and written,  personable and able to build and foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders, with good influencing and persuasion skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Office products, particularly Excel & PowerPoint with an ability to create good quality content, clear and concise outcomes
  • Good understand of SharePoint Online and ability to create and manage collaborative contribution
  • Proven ability to drive standards and provide challenge and improvement recommendations to ensure controls and standards are achieved
  • Proven ability to analyse a broad range of management information, identify recommendation actions and develop reports that drive improvement
  • Commitment and tenacity to deliver programme office objectives
  • Proactive and resilient, able to work flexibly and adjust scope as the programme demands evolve

 Desirable

  • ISEB Project & Programme Office Foundation
  • Prince 2 Foundation, APM, PMI, ISEB Project Management or equivalent
  • Agile environment experience
  • Expertise in Office 365 collaboration Suite
  • Business Organisational Development & Change experience
