Job purpose

Accounting of AXA REIM IBERICA (local gaap/IFRS gaap) + support on  Financial Controlling of AXA REIM entities with external bokkepers

Key accountabilities 

Within the AXA IM Operational Finance team dedicated to the finanial control and accounting of the AXA REIM entities , the local accountant /financial controller will be in charge of the accounting of AXA REIM Iberica  and support the senior financial controller on the financial control of the other AXA REIM entities.

AXA REIM Iberica is using the accounting system of AXA IM (CODA) and the revenue recognition tool Beqom.

The candidate will have to work in collaboration with other AXA´s teams (Axa Seguros payroll and tax team), AXA IM Operational Finance team in Paris.

Accounting of AXA REIM IBERICA:

  • The candidate will be in charge of Axa REIM Iberica´s accounting (Spanish Gaap and IFRS for group reporting), preparation of the all the tax returns and official books under the supervision of the senior financial controller.
  • Accounts Payable: booking the suppliers invoices , collecting the approval of the invoices from budget holder. Reconciliation of suppliers accounts.
  • Account Receivable: checking invoices / accruals coming from revenue recognition tool (beqom), issuing manual invoices – Follow up on receivable
  • General Ledger: booking of the monthly accruals and IFRS adjustements
  • Payroll accounting: transform data received from payroll provider (Axa Seguros) to book in CODA
  • Preparation of payment batches
  • Bank reconciliation: prepare on a monthly basis the bank reconciliation
  • Taxes:
    • Prepare the quarterly/monthly/annual  VAT returns , tax witholdings, Income tax (modelo 111, modelo 303 , modelo 349 , modelo 216 , modelo 200)
    • Managing the SII : ensuring that all invoices are timely reported in SII – Coordination with CODA team and Axa Seguros tax department in charge of SII.
  • Prepare the annual books and statutory financial statements to be filled at the Mercantile register of Madrid
  • Fill the mandatory surveys requested by INE
  • Monthly and quaterly reporting to the group : MARS / FMR / Magnitude
  • Liasing with external auditors
  • Assit in the preparation of the local statutory accounts

Financial controlling of other AXA REIM entities

The candidate will assit the senior financial controller on the financial controlling of other Axa REIM entities under the scope with external accountants.

In particular

  • Monitoring the external bookeepers on all what is related to the accounts payable side
  • Handle administrative tasks regarding filing, flow of documents with external providers
  • Assit in the cash forecast of the entities and cash management optimization
  • In liason with external tax advisor make sure that Tax matters are fulfilled (VAT, filings, transfer pricing, CbC, Fatca/CRS).
  • Ensure consistency, reliability and exhaustiveness of financial accounts
  • Help to coordinate the preparation of Financial Statements accounts (statutory and IFRS)
  • Liasing with external auditors
  • Monthly and quaterly reporting to the group : MARS / FMR / Magnitude

Profil

Education

  • University degree  a professional certification, CPA or equivalent would be a plus 

Experience

  • At least 2-3 years experience in an accounting/financial department dealing with Spanish , IFRS GAAP, and tax returns (VAT, withholding taxes,Income tax)

Knowledge and skills

  • Knowledge of CODA would be a plus
  • Pack Office : Excel, Power Point, word
  • Fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English
