  • Develop best practice and support the actuarial development and process improvement in modeling across the regions.

  • Assist the Senior Manager in leading the team and develop the Prophet models (deterministic and stochastic), data conversion systems (DCS) and the corresponding processes/guidelines

  • Ensure Prophet systems are kept in a controlled environment and can be readily used to support various valuation, reporting and strategic planning projects across the region

  • Act as a service provider to the region by providing timely support on Prophet model development 

Assist the Senior Manager in leading the team and develop the Prophet models (deterministic and stochastic), data conversion systems (DCS) and the corresponding processes/guidelines

  • Centrally manage all deterministic Prophet models within the team and respond to change requests from the region in a timely manner

  • Ensure Prophet models are frequently updated to reflect changes in regulatory requirements such that models can be readily used for valuation reporting and product pricing

  • Ensure timely release of new Prophet model versions for production of valuation and strategic planning results

  • Develop new functionalities within and around the Prophet model to enhance the usability of the model across various Actuarial functions

Establish and implement standards and guidelines to the CAMP models and DCS to ensure good quality control within the region:

  • Ensure all cashflow projections are accurate, complete and meet AXA standards

  • Ensure adequate documentation is in place for all model developments and modifications for a good control framework

  • Develop best practices in Prophet development to ensure efficiency and consistency in variable naming, coding and model structure

  • Ensure the model is properly checked and validated before using for production

Assist in implementing change requests from entities:

  • Lead junior staffs in carrying out change requests, provide them technical assistance when needed

  • Review technical specifications prepared by analysts and make

  • sure their correctness. Assist the preparation for more complex projects

  • Recommend priorities for consideration when necessary

  • Ensure the entities changes are integrated into the Regional Prophet model

Support various AXA stakeholders (eg local actuarial teams, Regional Life Actuarial, Inforce and Capital Management, Finance, Risk and Compliance teams) on Prophet modeling capabilities:

  • Assist Risk Management team to ensure all risks covered

  • Assist Corporate Finance team on due diligence work when require

Ensure team produces high quality analysis according to agreed timetables:

  • Monitor progress and recommends re-allocation of resources as necessary to meet agreed timetable

  • Check accuracy and completion of model development with specifications agreed with users

Ensure that user requirements are fully understood, documented, and implemented for Prophet model development.

  • Review end user change request to ensure high quality deliverables met users’ requirements

  • Discuss requirements with users and ensures that specifications are complete

  • Obtain sign-off on requirements from the user

  • Set up standard reports and checks to be communicated with users

Provide high quality, timely consistent, standardized services to customers:

  • Continually provide quality and timeliness of work products upon requests to ensure customer needs are met

  • Maintain good working relationships with customers through frequent communication

  • Provide professional analytical support to local country’s actuaries


  • At least 2 years financial services industry experience and preferably a Fellow of a recognized actuarial institute

  • Good experience in actuarial Prophet model

  • Good understanding of actuarial basis, in particular MCEV calculations, economic capitals and Solvency II

  • Asian regional experience desirable

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills required.
