Job Purpose


Receives and disburses money either by cash, check or credit card payment.  Keep records of money and negotiable instruments for various transactions.

Key Result Areas


Receives payment and issues official receipt

  • Receives payment by cash, check, credit cards, or automatic debits, verify amounts and check accuracy of payment transaction

  • Enter customer’s transaction information into computers in order to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts

  • Balance cash and checks in cash drawers at end of day and calculate transactions

  • Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance

  • Count cash and checks received in order to prepare them for deposit to the bank

Prepares reports

  • Prepares transaction reports for submission and approval by Supervisor / Manager

  • May prepare other reports, as needed or requested by Management

    Monitors post-dated checks

  • Monitors post-dated checks for receipting.  Ensuring that this does not go on stale

Customer centricity

  • Respond to customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies

  • Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customer’s account / payment


  • Maybe assigned to participate in sad hoc projects for system and process improvements, if any

  • Performs other related tasks, as maybe assigned, from time to time





  • Graduate of 4-year Bachelor’s degree, business related courses

  • Preferably with 2 years insurance / functional experience

  • Strong mathematical and computing skills

  • Computer knowledge, Microsoft office
