Primary Mission
The Group Corporate Finance department is responsible for:
  • M&A projects at Group level (acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, restructuring)
  • Ad hoc projects requested by AXA’s Management Board
The department is organized into three teams covering various geographic areas. The Corporate Finance Analyst is part of the team looking after France, Nord CEE and the US.
Key Missions
He/She is in charge of:
  • Actively contributing to (and progressively managing) the analysis of M&A opportunities, in liaison with Group legal, accounting and operational teams, with frequent interaction with external advisers and top management
  • Monitoring and optimizing the capital situation of certain entities, in close liaison with the local teams involved
  • M&A Projects :
    • Analyse the target within its regulatory, macroeconomic and competitive environment
    • Ensure adequate information gathering, coordinate due diligence, involving of other stakeholders (from AXA and external)
    • Evaluate the target, the investment rationale and related risks
    • Analyse financing and financial impacts, measure value creation for the Group, devise protection mechanisms where relevant
    • Prepare documents for AXA’s top Management

Technical Competencies 
  • Good knowledge of insurance with exposure to both Life and Non-Life
  • Strong financial skills. Good understanding of key actuarial concepts
  • Fair understanding of accounting, tax, legal and regulatory concepts relevant to M&A
  • Fluent in English and French

Relationship management  

  • Team player
  • High level of motivation and stamina
  • Potential to evolve to a managerial role in the mid-term

Experience and management skills 

  • 2-4 years experience overall
  • Successful experiences in Project Management
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Synthetic, with strong presentation skills
