• Performs aggregation of Non-Qualified annuity contracts under the Technical Corrections and Misc. Revenue Act of 1988 (TAMRA)
• Ensures timely and accurate reporting of Equi-Vest 1099 and 5498 reporting to the IRS
• Coordinates annual changes to tax form preparation/filing with system/TACS group
• Handles system testing of any tax change modifications
• Resolution of 1099 reporting errors and adjusts tax filing with the IRS/states
• Submits tax filings to IRS and facilitates state reporting to HR accounting
• Researches and resolves all IRS B Notices for social security number discrepancies
• Responds to tax inquiries received – researches tax law when needed
• Provides support to other functions as directed by management


1. 5+ years within the Financial Services industry. Group Retirement experience highly desired
2. Strong background in accounting and/or tax processing required
3. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
4. Ability to facilitate meetings and communicate results effectively to various levels throughout the organization
5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
6. Works effectively, both individually and as a team member
7. Ability to orchestrate multiple activities/projects at once to accomplish a goal/targets without direction
8. Proficiency in word, excel, PowerPoint
