The headquarters of the AXA Group, based in Paris, brings together the Group's corporate activities. It coordinates the various entities with the Group's strategy, and is responsible for managing international projects. The Group Risk Management & Group Insurance Office (GRM-GIO’s) mandate is to ensure a sustainable and profitable growth of AXA activities worldwide and promote excellence on both risk management and technical areas (e.g. product, pricing, UW, PMP, claims, reserving, in force).
Within this organization, the GIO’s missions related to technical excellence are to:
Foster profitable and sustainable growth by promoting technical excellence,
Define the technical standards and ensure they are implemented in all entities,
Ensure technical excellence in process improvement / digitization / automation.
Within GIO department, GIO Actuarial & Cat modeling is a team of 12 FTEs dedicated to:
Develop Nat Cat expertise within the Group for pricing, underwriting, risk management and risk consulting,
Develop Commercial Lines actuarial expertise and underwriting tools: three main tools are managed by the team – Aegis v2 Group platform for property and Marine UW ; Cyber platform Group platform for Cyber UW ; Surety tool Group platform for surety accumulation (in development).
R&D: developing new technics for application, pricing and underwriting.
Within this framework, the actuary will support the team to enhance its expertise.
The key missions of the actuary will thus be:
Improve technical expertise notably regarding pricing for property and/or cyber,
Participate to the development of tools by developing new features notably for the Property and/or Cyber platforms,
Support entities who are using GIO platforms,
Follow team developing expertise towards R&D developments.
The actuary thus can work on advanced technical developments, improve current tools and interact with entities all around the world.
Profile : Actuary.
Technical and professional skills:
Strong mathematical and statistical skills;
Ability to develop pricing models;
Good programming skills: VBA, SAS, R and R/Shiny.
Soft skills and competencies:
Autonomous, flexible and adaptable candidate,
Ability to work in a multicultural environment, meet deadlines
Ability to provide operational support with a quick and pertinent analysis.
Background and experience:Master degree in Actuarial Science / Statistics / Mathematics or Computer Science
