1. Assist the Group Health team in achieving the targeted TAT and accuracy level.
2. Assist to guide the Group Health team in ensuring the daily operations are within service standards.
3. Assist the Group Health team in supporting business units to achieve target GWP.
4. Operate within agreed loss ratio 50/50 current year.
5. Lead a team of underwriters for underwriting of new business, renewals and Maxis GBN business.
6. Provide sales support to the Business Units through managing product launches, marketing activities and marketing materials.
7. Implementation and monitoring of group projects/new projects.
1. Perform business underwriting for new and existing(renewal)business.
2. Assist in product/Policy training to corporate clients, agents and brokers in HQ and branches nationwide when required.
3. Manage portfolio risk to ensure profitable portfolio growth.
4. Visitations to corporate clients, brokers and agencies when required.
5. Ensure policies/endorsements are delivered within stipulated time.
6. Close monitoring and management of Claim Recovery for GHS accounts.
7. Assist in managing resources to achieve optimum level of customer service through efficient team management by ensuring the team is meeting underwriting TAT and accuracy target.
8. Product and system development/enhancement- work closely with all parties concerned.
9. Assist in developing and carrying out strategies and management decision.
10. Reporting and business review on production and claims on a regular basis.
11. Train and develop talents to prepare for business expansion and improvements.
12. Assist in process improvements with relevant parties i.e. Claims, TPA, Actuarial and Business Units.
1. Liaise with Third-Party Administrator (TPA) on underwriting matters or admission to hospitals.
2. Implementing and monitoring of sales campaigns, Maxis GBN and new initiatives.
3. Any other special projects or assignments, e.g. BCP exercise, organizing company events, etc.
1. University/College graduate plus 2 years related working experience in the insurance industry. Actuarial or Statistical background or Group Business Underwriting experience preferred.
2. Detailed and meticulous with good problem solving and decision making skills.
3. Have experience in managing a team.
4. Customer-oriented and good communication skills.
5. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is a must. Proficiency in other languages is a definite advantage.
6. Strong analytical skills.
7. IT literate- Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint is a must.
8. Possess a sense of urgency and commitment to meet performance targets.
9. Possess initiatives and drive to do whatever necessary to complete own and team's assignment/projects.
