Responsibilities:
• Maintains the standards, procedures, and methodologies in the development life cycle for Data Analysis
• Create and collaborates on enforcing policies for effective data management
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate ideas and concepts relating to data analysis/modeling
• Formulates management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
• Partner in the definition and execution of our data governance and data management strategy
• Devises and implements efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
• Formulates techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
• Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
• Establishes rules and procedures for data sharing with upper management, external stakeholders etc.
• Supports others in the daily use of data systems and ensures adherence to legal and company standards
• Troubleshoots data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as data governance
• An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
• Must be self-motivated, confident, organized, enthusiastic and have a good work ethic
• Must have excellent communication, collaboration, influencing and negotiation skills
• CDMP or equivalent certification preferred
• College degree or equivalent data analysis and management work experience
• Typically requires 7+ years of relevant work experience
• Must understand and have experience with data governance. Create and enforce policies for effective data management
• Identify and implement data profiling and dashboards
• Serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the software product, tools, and techniques utilized, employing them with a high level of proficiency; and in how data drives the development of applications and business requirements through appropriate design principles, methodologies and tools
• Experience in the insurance or financial sector from a data management perspective
• Experience in using IBM Meta Data Workbench, Fast Track, Information Analyzer, Erwin, and experience in performing data mapping in conjunction with IBM Infosphere applications such as IBM Master Data Management, and IBM Data Stage preferred
• Practical hands on experience with various lines of business (such as Wealth Accumulation, Life systems, Finance and Corporate Systems)
• Must be self-motivated, confident, organized, enthusiastic and have a good work ethic
• Expertise in data analysis methodologies, processes, tools, and their linkages to other processes in the software development lifecycle
• Experience leading integration efforts (packaged and customized applications) from a data analysis perspective
• Expertise in various modeling techniques such as process, data and object modeling
• Experience in leading data analysis efforts for multiple projects and programs of large size and high complexity
• Experience leading the development of training programs for junior staff in the data analysis discipline
• Deep expertise with data analysis artifacts and tools.
• Skill with using presentation and reporting such as Powerpoint, Excel, Dashboard
• Knowledge of the ACORD model for data standardization preferred
• Knowledge of unstructured data model and unstructured metadata management (eg. Cloudera) desired
