IT Business Analyst--Individual and Group Retirement Plans

The Business Analyst:

- Is responsible for gathering, analyzing and document business and functional requirements for one large, or several smaller business systems
- Provides functional knowledge to a work group in the production of the Business Requirements Document (BRD), Features and User Stories for a system development project
- Collaborates with project team, business unit customers and IT department to successfully develop and obtain approvals for BRD or User Stories within project schedule and budget

Basic Qualifications:

3-5 years' business analysis experience
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of annuities and both individual and group retirement plans


Preferred qualifications:

Business Training / Certification (such as FLMI) preferred

Knowledge around mainframe and web applications

Understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies

Excellent verbal and communication skills

Ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision at a project lead level

Ability to execute and prioritize a number of tasks

Initiate and conduct meetings with team and peers to communicate requirements gathering and analysis results

Experience working with vendor applications and package implementations
