Group procurement is one of the key actors that contributes in the ambition of AXA to become a « cost leader » and that enhances our effectiveness in a sustainable way. The Group Procurement team has 30 employees. Our areas of expertise include indirect purchases (IT, Real Estate, General Expenses - € 4.3 billion of annual budget) and P & C insurance procurement (€ 8 billion of annual budget).

 
The main missions of group procurement are the following:
  • Ensure the leadership for the transformation of Procurement within the company,
  • Negotiate contract at group level and secure the applicability and the roll out in the entities,
  • Manage relationship with key suppliers.
 
 

Within Property & Casualty Business (P&C) of AXA, Insurance Procurement (“IP”) mission is to leverage the procurement of claim services to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our operations, from a combined ratio standpoint, productivity, quality of service and operational risk. It is one of the strongest levers to take the AXA Ambition strategy to the next level of implementation.

 

The Group IP central team supports and challenges entities in assembling strategies, techniques and best practices (IP network across the world: 100+ workforce).

 
The Group IP P&C team needs to be reinforced in order to contribute in the development of a major strategic initiative (Alpha Scale) which is highly visible and aims at optimizing the cost of spare parts used in our motor repairs in Europe (1 B€ spend per year). 

We are looking for a Data Analyst that will:
 
  • Develop and maintain the KPIs with entities to secure the follow up of business performance.
  • Develop analysis on big data to identify new potential of savings
  • Contribute to the development of the alternative spare parts catalogue


You will be in charge to:
  • Develop queries for big data analysis, for example: potential savings calculation, coverage calculation of Alpha Scale catalog, identification of new savings opportunities with new suppliers, distributors, current suppliers/distributors by extending /adapting their offer
  • Industrialize queries for similar/recurrent analysis
  • Support and work closely with the Catalogue Manager, Roll-Out Managers, Operational Managers, Alpha Scale Top Management with ad-hoc analysis
  • Propose proactively to the same stakeholder’s opportunities of business development
  • Document the results of analysis, the queries
  • Deliver KPIs and Data Analysis with relevant quality and timeframe
  • Organize by himself his daily activities consistently with priorities and workload
  • Build routines for sustainable reusable analysis
  • Support the Catalogue Manager in extending and strengthen the Alpha Scale Catalogue

Experience and Functional skills:

 
  • Scientific education (engineering school, Mathematics, Statistics, Datamining)
  • 5-year experience in IT data analysis and Business Intelligence
  • Proven experience with close relations with business team
  • Knowledge of AGILE project methodologies as Alpha Scale is an Agile organization
 
Technical skills
 
  • Expertise in R, Python, SQL, Excel
  • Confirmed in Business Intelligence solutions (ideally Spotfire, Power BI, etc.)
  • Capacity to understand Business needs and to transpose them into related KPIs and Data Analysis
  • Understanding of integrated environments (ETL, Web Services)

  • Capacity to deep-dive and step back
  • Capacity to problem solve including the ability to react to issues and address them timely
  • Strong client-interaction and communication skills including the ability to synthetize results and to present to stakeholders with appropriate level of details

  • Interest in Insurance Business
  • Knowledge in car spare parts or purchase/sale is a plus
