Appraises and underwrites applications for insurance to assess mortality and morbidity risk within company guidelines to assure equitable treatment of policyholders and producers and to meet the company's financial objectives. Approves, classifies or declines applications on own signature; includes qualifications outlined in the job description. Provides guidance to the field force and home office staff regarding underwriting philosophy and requirements. Enhanced field relationship management. Basic EKG interpretation skills. Large case underwriting experience a plus.
4-8 Years of Related Experience
Bachelor's degree plus earned a FALU and FLMI.
Passed EKG training course and established proficiency in EKG interpretation - highly suggested.
