The ALM Modeling and Strategy role will be a member of the Asset Modeling team within Financial and Hedge Risk Management. This position supports the model development for Asset Liability Management (ALM) of the AXA US business. The role will provide exposure to different local and Group teams, GA assets and initiatives that affect the business. Responsibilities include:

  • Implementation of new asset types, investment and portfolio management strategies within the model 
  • Coding and testing different ALM strategies and measuring their impact key performance indicators 
  • Recommending and testing new reinvestment and ALM strategies that would better duration and cash-flow match our liabilities 
  • Process improvements and enhancements to reduce risk of errors & reduce time spent on consolidation so more time can be spent on analysis; leverage best practice from other teams. 
  • Assisting in responses to ad hoc business area requests.


  • Bachelor's Degree majoring in Math, Finance, Actuarial or other related field
  • 3 years of ALM modeling, Asset Modeling, or Investment experience 
  • Software skills including MS Office/Excel 
  • Experience with one of the major coding platforms (VBA, C++, Python, etc.) 
  • Strong organization and planning skills 
  • Solid interpersonal/relationship management/communication skills – the ability to foster good working relationships with business partners is needed to gather required data and analysis 
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting key metrics
