  • Provide epidemiological expertise and program management in the areas of population health, specifically health program design, development and implementation, health data analysis and interpretation, survey methods, program evaluation and innovative service analytics tools
  • Will hold the primary responsibility for design, developing and delivery of population health management programs, analytical reporting to support provider management, care management, Rx management, disease management and wellness programs, and for implementing innovative analytics tools
  • Responsible for managing and building strong teams through leadership and mentoring
  • Also responsible for collaborating with other areas on population health management and health risk management
  • Monitor the health status of AXA’s members and design, develop, and implement comprehensive population health management programs for prompt intervention to improve health status and healthcare outcomes of AXA’s member population
  • Design, develop, analyze and produce best in class analytic reports to AXA internal constituents and be responsible for seeing the story in the numbers and evaluating alternative actions to help senior management make recommendations based on data
  • Build in-house capabilities in designing and developing population health programs including health promotion and disease prevention (e.g. tobacco use, vaccination, or weight reduction), early detection (e.g. screening for cancer, diabetes and etc), disease management (e.g. wellness coaching, coordinating care and symptom management)
  • Establish and execute analytical plan for monitoring health plan and trend analyses, health and wellness program cost effectiveness, and provide insightful analysis in response to management requests for ad hoc reports
  • Determine analytical approach, staffing, responsibilities and time frames using established estimating models, best practices, and past experience and review regularly estimates for the analytical project schedule, effort and cost to account for all activities in the scope and make adjustments as necessary based on strategic priority
  • Define team member roles and expectations, and ensure timely feedback and ensure that staff receive any necessary training and are used effectively.
  • Identify metrics to be used for product and program assessment and IT to ensure proper system configuration to support reporting requirement
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams

-Master’s Degree or PhD Degree in Epidemiology/Biostatistics,

Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Healthcare

Administration or related field with 10+ years of management

experience; healthcare experience is a must

-Thorough knowledge of SAS tools used for ad hoc and automated


-Knowledge of data warehouse is a plus

Ability to analyze and provide insight to operational results

-Must be capable of meeting tight deadlines within the context of

continually changing priorities and be able not only to draw on

cross functional teams, but also to work autonomously to obtain

desired goals

-Must be capable of distilling large amounts of data into concise,

actionable information and must be able to create strategic


-Must be skilled in clearly presenting data and reports in oral and

written format and must be collaborative and able to build internal

and external relationships

-Must be able to develop and manage a high performance team
