This role works as project manager with Life Operations department on compliance/regulatory driven initiatives. Focus will be for the management of multidepartment projects, in a high-performance environment, which consistently meets customer and business needs with on time completion. This position will require the assessment of Compliance and Operations driven results within the business areas, the formulation of remediation plans, monitoring of key project indicator/establish process performance objectives, and oversight of the project to delivery. It will include ensuring tasks stay on track and sharing learnings from best practices. The ideal candidate for this role should have a Controls awareness mindset and must be exceptional at forming trusted partnerships with many levels in the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Understand broad project planning requirements; lays out project plans with direction from appropriate business area stakeholders, as necessary
• Identify issues, structure problems, and generate actionable recommendations using problem-solving frameworks and critical thinking
• Maintains project documentation and assists with issue resolution and efforts to develop new or revised processes/procedures for the assigned business areas.
• Support targeted projects through governance and funding assessment
• Lead regular status reports and group interactions
• Lead discrete tasks within a project work stream.
• Participate in the creation and delivery of presentations to senior management, including executive management, in very clear, structured formats
• Manage ambiguity, complex subject matters and concurrent deliverables
• Support multiple work streams and assist in meeting stated goals
• Work seamlessly with team members, leadership committee to achieve outcomes


Skills and knowledge:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to facilitate collaboration, influencing, and leadership with proficient interpersonal skills (i.e. strong written and verbal communication)
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate well across multiple levels of management in a complex and matrix environment within the organization
• Develop strong relationships with business partners and team members
• Has an understanding of project planning
• Experience working with complex project schedules and ability to interpret results
• Ability to set long term strategy and vision independently, and lead execution
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Maintain highest ethical standards; demonstrate practicality, integrity, promotes diversity and a culture of inclusion
• Software skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• 3-5+ years of experience in Operations/Controls environment or similar business experience
• Business process consulting a plus (Six Sigma, Lean etc.)
• Change management experience a plus
• Subject matter expertise in the Controls function a plus
