• Train, support and manage quote team to:
o Meet and exceed expected turnaround times for quote review and completion for new opportunities and requotes
o Review proposal submissions to ensure complete information has been provided
o Edit/sort and prepare census data in Excel
o Select appropriate plan features for the requested products
o Apply discounts to rates where applicable
o Generate quotes and proposals on behalf of brokers
o Generate quotes for underwriter review where applicable
o Ensure complete and accurate data is entered into SalesForce.com
• Development and distribution of performance metrics reports for quoting team performance evaluation on a regular basis
• Manage workload of team
• Manages and implements policies and procedures for quoting team.
• Manages the process for:
o referrals to underwriters
o requotes and appeals with the distribution team
o group rate-setting.
• Provides decisions and recommendations on complex cases.
• Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility
• Perform regular audits
• May give input into developing the budget.
• Reports to Head of EB Underwriting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of managerial experience
• Group Employee Benefits background and experience with Life, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability
• Group Employee Benefits Underwriting experience is highly preferred
• Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from case issues that may require coordination with other departments.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate in a challenging and fast-paced team environment.
• Possess a high level of reliability, responsibility and organization
• Ability to effectively partner with internal and external stakeholders
• Requires a bachelor's degree.
