Lead and manage IT team to plan, manage and support infrastructure & architecture of the Company inclusive of the desktops, notebooks, printers, servers, firewalls, network communications and other projects as planned by the IT and business team. At the same time to carry out information security control and risk measures to minimize information risk and exposure IT systems in the company in alliance with security team(s).


1.Design and oversee the overall technical services and infrastructure plan covering data, voice and video transmissions. This should encompass architecture / topology design, firewalls, IP technologies (MPLS, VPN, and VoIP), wide area, local area and Internet connectivity including wireless services, and remote access/mobile technology. Planning would incorporate telecommunications initiatives, data center requirements, disaster recovery redundancies and security prerequisites.

2.Lead a team of technical resources to provide services to desktops, servers, networks, telecoms, office automation and tools, integration, solutions for the company.

3.Work closely with Servicedesk and Production Support team to provide resources to resolve incidents and requests.

4.Manage, prepare and develop an annual network capacity plan on a 3-years horizon. This should encompass servers, telecommunications/network equipment, e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, etc., telecommunications service providers/products and bandwidth requirements.

5.Manage, prepare and develop an annual common IT services and capacity plan.  This should encompass all common services (all servers, network storage, network printing, remote VPN access and Internet e-mail, Web access, tape backup etc.). Planning should involve benchmarking of actual usage as well as forecasting with users and developers on business growth and application development plans.

6.Manage to define/review and/or revise/refine capacity monitoring and monthly capacity reporting and analysis procedures.  Investigate and approve any new service/bandwidth requests and maintain inventory records of all hardware, service agreements, configurations and problem logs.

7.Manage to define/review and/or revise/refine disaster recovery plans and procedures, encompassing the company. DR plans should include hardware, infrastructure and telecommunications disruptions, including multiple points of failure.

8.Provide professional advice on projects such as data center activities, e.g. migration planning, environment preparation, network setup/verification, benchmark/stress testing, problem resolution, etc.

9.Lead, drive and implement overall servers, telecommunications and networking projects together with service providers. Duties include planning, scheduling (operations, AXA Tech, local and remote providers), implementation, testing, problem solving and contingency planning.

Manage and support the effective network, server, desktop hardware/software installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.

10.Maintain research and knowledge on all IT technology, telecommunications and network technology, products, evaluations, etc. and regular communications/presentations to AXA IT on relevant topics. 


1. University degree in Computer Science or related disciplines

2. 8-10 years’ experience in Telecommunications and Network support.

3. Certification preferred: CCNA/CCNP, MCSE, CLP, CISA, CISSP, ITIL Foundation. 

4. Good knowledge on LAN, WAN and Internet technologies.

Knowledge on technical support, TCP/IP, firewall, routers and switches, WINTEL, Unix/Linux and Microsoft Exchange / O365 administration

5. Good command of spoken and written English.

6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Familiar with working in a project environment including planning, deliverables, progress tracking and reporting.

8. Ability to articulate how business issues may impact overall telecommunications and network.

9. Proven ability to consult, support, and inspire direct reports and colleagues.

10. Capacity to think creatively, yet pragmatically.

11. Knowledge of Insurance products, systems and operations an added advantage.
