Mission – Job purpose

The new Operating Unit INM “International and New Markets” covers over 35 countries in Latam, Europe, Middle East, Africa and South East Asia.

Within the Finance Organization and under the responsibility of the Head of Controlling & Strategic Planning, the performance management senior controller is the key finance partner to helps the organisation meet its finance objectives by bringing added value analysis and proposals to Top Management, follow up performance of local entities and acts as central finance point of contact for entities, for INM Top Management and all key stakeholders incl. Group.

Main missions and activities

In charge of analysing and challenging the financial plans and budgets for the entities and lines of business under his perimeter of responsibility. Analysis then to be shared with INM Top management.

Manages with INM Top Management the validation of plans, target setting process and performance assessments of objectives (incl. STIC) for entities and lines of business of his scope.

Identify the most important financial priorities where action is needed, either because of substantial deviations to the plan, wrong trajectories versus the plan, significant downside risks versus budget delivery, significant upside / opportunities. Proposes focus on further analysis, define potential actions and initiatives to be implemented and secures that actions are being identified and followed in interaction with entities and other INM stakeholders.

Follow up of entities performance, capitalizing on all available financial and technical information and reporting : monthly performance follow up, analysis of forecasts, dedicated support and preparation for business reviews at INM or Group Level, preparation of strategic or CEO dialogues.

Key “finance partner” as single point of contact between entities / lines of business and INM Management / INM Transversal Functions, and Group Functions. Need to have full vision and understanding of all financial topics relating to entities and lines of business.

Support and review financial projections of key projects / investments to facilitate decision making. Leads as well all ad hoc financial analysis required incl. benchmarking, profitability analysis, costs analysis.

Profile

Background:

 Understanding of insurance financials with previous experience in either:
 Technical/Actuarial/Risk Management insurance department
 Finance / Controlling area
 Insurance business understanding is a must
 Experience and high level of seniority in communication with Top Management
 Master Degree, University in Finance/Audit & Accounting/ Controlling
 5-7 years work experience at Finance / LoB / Risk Management

Technical skills:
 Strong analytic skills
 Capacity to lead projects
 Fluent in English
 Good understanding of insurance finance KPIs

Personal capabilities:
 Autonomous, organized and reliable
 Strong communication skills
 Sense of organisation
 Results oriented
 Capacity for managing stress of tight deadlines
 Ability to fix priorities and to make synthesis
